In the
aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, it became clear that the property
owners of Perdido Key have no muscle and, indeed no voice, in
Escambia County. We all know that our dollars flow to the County
and, while we receive essential services, we receive almost nothing
in return beyond the essentials, which for the most part, we pay for
in terms of water and sewer fees.
What we do:
We are an organization of property Owners that represent and speak
for the property owners, their tax dollars and, of course, for the
owners who vote in Florida. We envision our group meeting with the
County Commissioners and their minions to work out condominium
emergency procedures that are a bit more friendly than simply
closing the bridges and maintaining roadblocks
Please let us know
if you would be interested in participating in an organization of
this kind. We know that, as property owners, we are all overloaded,
but if we do not make some effort, we are doomed to relive our fate
following Ivan, which was indeed very unsatisfactory.
Your prompt response
will be appreciated. The Perdido Presidents Forum will aggressively
pursue new opportunities to ensure the well being and protection of
the property owners of the Key.
